Great space for a family of five, lovely and clean. Loved the tea and coffee tray? Visit whitby at least three times every year and have stayed in many cottages so know exactly whats needed in a cottage. Shoreline Cottages are one of the best cottage providers I have used in Whitby and its good to know that a caretaker is available if needed.

We loved the flat and have no complaints whatsoever. The beds were amazingly comfortable, in fact we intend to enquire about the make of the mattress and details of the quilt and pillows as we had the best night' sleep ever!

Excellent location with no parking problems. The cottage was warm and cosy when we arrived and within half an hour we had settled in. The rooms are light and airy and the bathroom is exceptionally nice for a leisurely bath with a glass of prosecco! We are fell hugely better for our break and will definitely be in touch for our next one!

This was our third visit to this property. The property is very comfortable and we do appreaciate that it has its own parking space directly on site.

The house was extremely well equipped, however, the only thing we would have preferred was a 4- slice toaster instead of 2- slice. Everything else was perfect and we were most impressed! Thank you!

The trip to Whitby was chosen by our mother, having been a couple of times before. I have been four times before and my brother has never been. My mother loved the property, despite getting confused with the various levels - going upstairs to bed, when her room was on the groundfloor! My brother was very impressed with location and the property itself and it is the best I have rented in Whitby. No salt for my porridge though and I had forgotten to bring it with me!

The cottage was as always excellent. Only observation was the odd behaviour of the landlord of the Wilson Arms. His staff were fine but his behaviour was bizarre. He definitely needs help, perhaps from Gordon Ramsey!!!

As usual we enjoyed our short break in Whitby and our Shoreline Cottage, Stakesby House was excellent, we would certainly consider it the next time and recommend it.

High Tide apartment was well equipped and in a fantastic location for us.Sinks and toilet had been cleaned and bleached.

I was unable to go to Whitby due to family illness but my friends still went and they were very pleased with the accommodation and would return.

I have previously stayed with Shoreline but this time I recommended that my mum and dad should come along too, I think its always tricky recommending things to friends and family in case they are not as pleased but I am happy to say they thought the apartment, location and high standards were wonderful! The only thing that was not ideal was the weather! We had a nice week and my parents enjoyed spending time with my little girl in the relaxed setting. Thank you.

Genuine 4 bed house sleeping 8 in comfort, rather than a 3 bed house that has been compromised, which has been our previous experience with competitors.

Despite the hiccough over keys and initial access, (we have laughed about it since and it has added a quirky memory to our break) we thoroughly LOVED Spring Vale. The Olympic sized bath, the spacious bedrooms, the quaint garden...all perfect for our needs. The distance outside the town was fine for an invigorating walk, and it meant we didn't have to worry about town parking

A beautifull and unique georgian town house full of charm and character. Fabulous light and airy lounge overlooks the garden, open up the sash windows in the summer, have a BBQ in the garden. Parking for two cars, always a bonus in Whitby. Great kitchen and butlers pantry everything you require if you wish to eat in. Nice helpfull owner Deb should you need anything just ask, also ensure that you are introduced to Harry (her dog) he is great.

We were extremely impressed with the whole customer experience, and felt very much at home dealing with the company and staying in the accommodation provided. We did feel as a company you understood the concept of customer loyalty completely.

We really loved the cottage and location, with its excellent facilities and views. It was a warm, cosy and comfortable home-from-home for our family get-together .The one drawback was having to negotiate a busy cobbled street to unload and then trying to find a parking space in an equally busy Whitby! If we use this cottage again, I think we will plan to arrive later in the day - and not on a sunny Saturday before Easter. Thanks again, though, for the use of your wonderful cottage - the weather couldn't have been better and we all enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant stay and the garden was perfect for breakfast as it caught the sun.

I loved the fact that I could park right outside the property and was presently surprised by the lovely view of the Abbey. It was perfectly located for the Goth festival and your staff were very helpful when we requested extra keys which allowed us all to do our own thing.

This was our first holiday with Shoreline. We were amazed by how big the cottage was and by its facilities. The access to the key was fantastic. Everything went like clockwork! When booking I needed to speak to a Shoreline employee. This person (sorry, I can't remember your name) was exceptionally helpful. Stakesby House was lovely, as others have said a real home from home. It had a delightful atmosphere and was beautifully warm, coming home and curling up the settee or in front of the fire was great. Location was super and we really appreciated the welcome pack with biccies, milk and wine - just what we needed after a long journey. Would recommend Stakesby and Shoreline.

The location of the cottage was excellent, it would have been more enjoyable by the provision of somewhere to sit and eat outside. I know it's difficult in this day and age to leave things outside but a fold-up set which people could take in and out would have been lovely. Apart from that it must be one of the loveliest places to stay in Whitby.

Stakesby Cottage was good for someone with a car - it meant we didn't have to worry about parking in Whitby, which has become very difficult and very expensive in recent years. Also, it was gave us the opportunity to do more walking than we usually do, and to see parts of the town we don't normally see.

We had a very happy family (eight of us) holiday in spite of mixed weather. The local butcher and baker were excellent. The beds were most comfortable and there was plenty of room for us all. The faulty kettle and washing machine were replaced cheerfully and promptly. Sleights is a lovely quiet place and we all slept well and enjoyed our holiday.

Everything was very good indeed.

We had a small problem with the hot water and a representative came to the property within 15 minutes and sorted the issue. He was polite and efficient and could not do enough to help. Will look to use shoreline again when we look to go away in the near future.

We love the cottage, Sneaton and Whitby. I have a greyhound and he loves the large secure garden, I can truly have a break knowing he can come in and out safely. The rooms are lovely and everything is where it needs to be - a home from home. We took a friend along with us this year and she loved it too. Beacon Farm is wonderful, very friendly staff and lovely food. You can bet we'll be back to the cottage and Whitby next year. We never want to leave!

Abbey View exceeded our expectations and was ideal for our extended family group with children and grandparents. We would love to come back and are sorry we forgot to sign the visitors book to say what a lovely time we had.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cottage. The location was great and the cottage very comfortable and clean. Whitby is a great place for a family holiday, with lots of lovely shops and some great surrounding areas. Would definitely recommend Shoreline and Whitby.

We were a very late booking and David at Shoreline could not have been more helpful. Kipper Cottage was perfect for us. Two small problems were dealt with by Billy straightaway. A big plus was having beds all made up on arrival and towels etc included in price. Thank you Shoreline for a great mini break in Whitby and I'm sure we will return!

ldeally located cottage for beach Good sized freezer ideal for us and a dishwasher. Shall return to whitby sometime in next few years as this is our 3rd visit but dont know when yet. Cottage views are lovely and its peaceful at night and often in the day. Cottage excellent.

This was our sixth visit to a Shoreline property and we had a fab weekend. The booking process and access to the cottage very easy. Our children are busy choosing the next cottage!!

Having been to Shoreline Cottages previous we find that they are well equipped clean and close to amenities.

We enjoyed our stay, having an enclosed garden for the dog was excellent. Very well situated for town, away from bustle but harbour within easy walk.

Absolutely fabulous

This is our 3rd visit to St Hildas - usually in the winter so has been lovely to be abe to use the garden and have a barbecue. We had 2 Australian exchange students with us this viist and they have loved Sands End, Whitby and Dalby Forest and the cottage. I am a big cook so the only suggestion I coul dmake would be a few more serving type dishes and scissors - that is being a bit picky though - overall I cannot fault this cottage - we love it and will be back! It was a lovely house and we really enjoyed out stay. Ideal for a family. It was a special visit as we have our son and daugher in law on holiday from New Zealand so it was a family get together.

We were both pleased and surprised when we arrived at the spacious, bright and clean appearance of the property and the location was great with the view over the estuary well worth the cost alone.

Captain's Quarters is a wonderful cottage. We have stayed there for several years. We will still be back next year.

We have stayed in two Shoreline Apartments now and are very impressed with them both, especially our latest visit. I amended our booking for a longer stay and the gentleman that helped was extremely helpful and polite.

We are regular visitors to the area and The Old Loft was the best place we have stayed for both value for money and quality. We will definitely stay here again if possible or try some of your other properties.

Your pre-holiday information states Whitby Tourist office requires 7 days notice when booking the long stay carpark. The woman in the Whitby Tourist office stated they could not guarantee a 7 day turnaround as they had just changed mail provider so now require 10 days notice! (think i could walk to Whitby in that time). In the event paid for parking by telephone which is as easy for a short break. Many thanks for lovely holiday

Second time that we have stayed in this appartment and the standard of cleanliness and overall quality of the accommodation was every bit as good as last time. The cottage was fine except for the lack of mirrors. I know this probably sounds a bit daft, but when you're attending the WGW full length mirrors are a must !! Apart from that we had a great time.

Overall an excellent stay which was undoubtedly complemented by the comfort and styling of the cottage.

We've stayed in Whitby many times before and this was without doubt the best accommodation we've experienced. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Henrietta Cottage to others and very much hope that I'll have the opportunity to return in future. On our final day Billy was incredibly helpful as we checked out in advance of our trains and he helped us manage our luggage. Overall we thought the cottage was superb - the fire was particularly well appreciated on windy nights!

Stakesby was a superb accommodation but maybe just a little too far out of town after a long day walking on the moors,but on balance it was worth it.Would probably use it again.

A lot of care has gone into the original decor design and presentation. The cottage had a lot of individual charm and it made for an enjoyable stay.

St Hilda's is a really beautiful property - the online pictures don't do it justice! Overall, the property exceeded expectations by a long way and every member of our party left very reluctantly.

Caedmon house in Sandsend was the perfect venue to base ourselves for a Diamond Wedding Anniversary Celebration! All 9 of us enjoyed the 3 days we spent there. The weather was kind to us also, but the views were so lovely that it wouldn't have mattered too much if it had rained!!. It suited all ages in our party and we plan to return next year for another celebration!

We had a problem with the boiler at the apartment, your manager Mr Billy Watt was quick to sort the problem. We found him very pleasant ,amenable and courteous, in fact a very nice person.

Second visit. Really enjoy the setting and the view for a weekend away.

Cottage was lovely, very clean, well equipped etc. except that there were no matches and a gas hob. Maybe there is a gas lighter but if so I never found it. I will happily use Shoreline again.

Accommodation was well presented and very comfortable. Good to have off road car parking available at the accommodation. Easy short walk to Whitby harbour and shops/restaurants.

At the booking stage there was an issue with the acceptance of the credit card, which was possibly due to a 'one letter' error on the billing address which caused the the bank security system to question & thus suspended the booking.However at approx 2145hrs! I optimistically called Shoreline and spoke to a very helpful gentleman who resolved the issue in minutes and the booking was made. That is,and was, excellent service! Our booking was last minute so would opt for a cottage rather than an apartment in future and it noted that Shoreline had interestingly sited cottages in Whitby. Our apartment was very good.

Well situated cottage and we really enjoyed our stay in Sandsend.

The allocated parking is a bonus in Whitby and the double aspect view over the harbour and Esk terrific.

Riverside App. was lovely, it was an ideal location with lovely views of the ever changing river Esk. We also found the steam trains very interesting. It was a nice walk into the hustle and bustle of town. The app. was very well equiped with absolutely everthing you may require, excellent attention to detail which all helps to make your holiday more enjoyable. Thank you.

The apartment was fantastic the views from the many windows fabulous the weather idylic (only Shoreline cannot take the credit for that) the little thoughtful details ie TV mag, washing tablets, drink and biscuits to tide us over whilst we got to the shops, books and games made it very special. To quote my husband on arrival 'There are very few times that I am pleasantly supprised, but I am very impressed this time' Thank you for a lovely experience, we hope to book again soon.

Our stay in Cuddy was excellent and we have no adverse comments ~ just the opposite. Our only comment would be that we couldn't get the washer going!! Thanks for a lovely break.

I have hired cottages in the past, and this one was the cleanest and best. in terms of furnishings and equipment. One thing that I would love is a really good quality mattress on the bed. I have never found one yet, but I m not complaining because I think your property was great and you have the best cleaner I have ever come across!

The house was fabulous although could have done with an extra knife when trying to cook sunday lunch - was difficult preparing the veg with a bread knife!

As usual we found the property to be of a very high standard and ideally located for Whitby's amenities. The parking space is a godsend! It is so much better now that we can collect the keys from the keysafe and let ourselves in as we visit Whitby fairly often and waiting for a member of staff to meet us was a pain! The standard of the accommodation was exceptional. Upon arrival it was such a lovely welcome having pleasant music being played from the music system. The kitchen had everything you could think of. Having used Shoreline previously I knew we wouldn't be disappointed and St Hilda's is an outstanding property in every way: well furnished and equipped, well maintained and spotlessly clean. A problem with the garage door was dealt with by Billy who kept us informed. The door handle on the twin bedroom by the lounge stuck and jammed so perhaps needs minor attention. Thank you once again, we enjoyed our visit so much and will continue to use Shoreline.

Just returned from a wonderful holiday in Caedmon House. Apart from the CD player being somewhat erratic ( and this is only the smallest worry!) everything else about the place and our stay there was exceptional - after 5 nights we have all left feeling relaxed and refreshed after spending time with the family in a comfortable, cosy, well-equipped and beautifully decorated home-from-home. Probably the most user friendly website we have come across, the flexibility with available days was excellent as we cannot usually book for the usual mon-thurs or fri to sunday and was therefore happy to pay that little bit extra.

This was a perfect place for our wedding party - far beyond expectations. We wall wanted to live there! As a result one of the party is planning to marry in Whitby later this year and wants to book St Hildas. We have already booked to visit Whitby again next month for the Gothic weekend, although a smaller place next time - but I am sure it will be first class. I am also sure we will be booking this 'cottage' again for a longer stay in the future. Absolutely wonderful.

We had a great week at the Old Sail Loft. The views were amazing and the layout was perfect for us and our small boys. It was fab to have towels and tea and coffee, and a dishwasher! It definitely felt like a cut about the usual holiday cottages - very luxurious.

We found the cottage to be of a high standard throughout. What impressed me was that, as a cottage accepting pets, there was definitely no smell of dogs - excellent! The local Spar is a saviour, as are its opening hours. We would highly recommend the Stables Restaurant at the Cross Butts on the way into Whitby, as well as the pub in the village of Ellerby. We had a fab holiday and would like to return in the future.

The style in each of the two cottages we have stayed in has been very tasteful which allows us to settle in easily and this is a great start to your holiday. The cottages are always immaculately clean. Shoreline, in my experience, are superb and we will be returning!

Whitby is where I went on holiday as a child and I just love coming back from time to time to see it and enjoy looking at it all over again. As time has gone by Whitby, for me, is just as magical as it was all those years ago, just busier, but that doesn't detract from the enjoyment. The fish suppers are the best you can get anywhere and the queue at the Magpie seems to get bigger! We had a great time.

Abbey View is so well situated for everything; we didn't need to use the car as everything is at hand. The cottage is both beautiful and practical and is a real hidden gem. I shall tell everyone it is owned by Shoreline Cottages because all our friends love Whitby but hate the lack of parking and lack of access to amenities and this cottage solves both problems at the least.

St Hilda's was wonderful, equipped with the best, furnished with pride, and very welcoming. We were sorry to leave. Thank you for a splendid experience.

We loved our location overlooking the river - which was what we were expecting; but then we got the bonus of the steam trains opposite and really enjoyed relaxing and watching them shunting in and out to change the engine round. We didn't expect there to be too much to do for 5 days, but there was plenty and more to come back for!

Our second stay at Sorrel was even better than the first time. It's such a brilliant location for children, with a lovely safe garden. Thank you for a lovely holiday; I'm sure you will be seeing us again.

This is the first time we have stayed in the centre of Whitby, although we have visited the area many times before, usually staying in the surrounding countryside. We enjoyed having all the facilities on the doorstep and the views from the windows of the cottage were superb. The cottage itself was excellent and we would definitely like to come back.
