Henrietta Cottage: Overview

Henrietta Cottage can be found in a cobbled cul-de-sac just yards from the foot of the 199 steps that lead up to Whitby Abbey. The street ends with spectacular views over the harbour, and it is here you will find what is probably the most famous kipper shop in the country.

Henrietta Cottage backs on to the cliff face. It is two minutes' walk from the nearest shops and only half a mile from the railway station. Parking is in public car parks, the nearest of which is approximately a 15 minute walk away.

Inside you'll find Henrietta a surprisingly spacious cottage. Timber beams and a brick fireplace with a living flame gas fire give the large living room character and warmth, while the kitchen is equally attractive and well equipped.

Stairs lead up to the large, first floor bedroom and bathroom with shower facility. A further set of steep stairs leads to the second bedroom located in the roof space - complete with twin beds and a dormer window overlooking the small back yard.
