Seagull Cottage: Overview
Seagull Cottage is in the more residential, upper part of Whitby with on-street parking. A five minute walk brings you to Flowergate and the heart of Whitby's shopping area and a further five minutes brings you to the sea front.
Coming in from the street you will be impressed by the imaginative atrium kitchen, with sunlight flooding through the conservatory-style ceiling. Adjacent is the generous, open plan dining area. The centre-piece of the cosy living room is the living flame, coal-effect fire. Up the first flight of stairs you'll find a double bedroom and the spacious luxury bathroom featuring a Victorian roll-top bath.
A further steep flight of stairs opens on to a small sitting area complete with portable TV. This in turn leads to the large twin room whose low beamed ceiling lends it enormous character.
A small private garden with patio, wrought iron furniture and barbecue complete the picture. Next door is Spring Vale Cottage, offering increased accommodation for joint booking with Seagull Cottage.
It is five minutes' walk to the nearest shop and the railway station is three-quarters of a mile away.
